Bao Bun
Makes 10 bao buns
Ingredients
- 375g plain flour
 - 1 tsp dry yeast
 - 1 1/4 tsp baking powder
 - 2 tbsp caster sugar
 - 1/2 tsp salt
 - 225ml water
 - rapeseed oil
 
Method
- Combine dry ingrediants
 - Add water little by little until it forms a ball
 - Knead for 5 minutes on a floured surface
 - Coat a bowl with oil and place dough in the bowl and cover with a tea towel. leave for 1-1.5 hours in a warm place
 - Knead for 30 seconds to knock the air out and then cut into 10 pieces
 - Flatten into 1cm discs, brush one half with oil, and then fold
 - Cover with a tea towel and leave to rise for 30 minutes
 - Steam for 8 minutes
